Giant Groundhog at Storytime!
It's a bird... it's a dog...no, it's a giant groundhog! Kids in storytime this week enjoyed a shadow storytime on the ceiling where not only a groundhog appeared but a dinosaur, giant marlin, and...well, you get the idea. The story was a little different each day and kids enjoyed leaning back on the blanket to get a groundhog's eye view of the action. Everyone made a groundhog puppet to take home where the fun continues no matter how many more weeks of winter we have to endure.

Daisy Troop 830 is on the move!
Learning respect for yourself and others was the topic of a recent meeting held at Beaver Creek Park under the direction of troop leader Amy Rakar. The girls learned about getting along with others when they shared books about manners, feelings, and friendship with Mrs. Stanley and Mrs. Ashton. It was soon time to get moving to the tune of "Girls Just Wanna' Have Fun".

Cookie Storytime was Sweet Success
Based on the crowds we had for Cookie Storytime everyone, kids of all ages, love cookies. We added a fourth session this year to spread out the crowd and brought in more volunteers from the Lorain County JVS Culinary Academy to help out. Kids decorated hundreds of cookies and most of them were taste tested before leaving the library.
All Aboard for Train Storytime
It was a full crowd when the whistle blew for storytime on Saturday. Everyone enjoyed stories about trains and we even saw a short video of Quarry Bear at the Miracle on Mainstreet Parade.
